The People’s War led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) has been going on uninterrupted for more than 50 years. The belief and determination for the victory of the People’s War for the New Democratic Revolution, the path of liberation of the Indian people, is being maintained in the most difficult conditions, despite the intense attacks of the Indian state.
The Indian ruling classes are afraid that the rebel spirit of the masses will fuse with the People’s War and become an uncompromising and independent force on the communist line. For decades the entire violent apparatus of the state has been mobilized to suppress and destroy the People’s War, many times carrying out extensive military actions accompanied by campaigns to destroy the guerrilla forces. However, having failed every time, Indian reaction is again and again commissioning its brutal massacres.
In January 2024, the Indian state launched another extermination operation against the CPI (Maoist)-led People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) called “Operation Kagaar”. For 6 months, it carried out a series of massacres against the people, guerrilla forces and democratic movements with the high-tech weapons of the imperialist arms industry. In the areas where it carried out operations, the Indian reactionary regime has turned to massacre in a frenzied manner, from 6-month-old babies to 60-year-old old people, massacring civilians and propagandizing them to the world as PLGA guerrillas. From the Philippines to Peru, from Turkey to Nepal, from Mexico to Colombia, from the Philippines to Peru, from Turkey to Nepal, from Mexico to Colombia and Zionist Israel, it is known that in countries where there are guerrilla struggles and uprisings, every fascist and reactionary regime massacres unarmed people and presents them as resistance fighters and guerrillas. The massacring states, which are helpless in the face of the guerrilla forces, have the goal of frightening, intimidating and detaching the people from their living spaces in order to “drain the swamp”, that is, to prevent the guerrilla from uniting with the people. Now the Indian reaction has once again locked on to this goal with Operation Kagaar. On January 1, the Indian state carried out a massacre of civilians in the state of Chhattisgarh in which a six-month-old girl was killed. It continued its massacres in Chipurbati, Korcholi, Aapatola, Kakur-Tekametta, Pidiya, Rekavaya and Gobel at one-week intervals. For 6 months, Indian reaction has massacred and continues to massacre 125 people, including PLGA guerrillas, unarmed peasants, revolutionaries, young, old, women and children. Enmity to the Indian People’s War is undoubtedly enmity to the people’s liberation struggle. The anger, hatred and rebellion of the people against imperialism, feudalism and the rampant exploitation of the comprador-bureaucrat bourgeoisie will be an invincible force when united under the leadership of the CPI (Maoist). This is what frightens the Indian reaction. The India People’s War is being destroyed because it has the strength and capability to fight the rebel spirit of the India people. Today, to show the strongest solidarity with the liberation struggle of the India people, with the India People’s War, which the Indian state is trying to destroy, means to put on the spirit of proletarian internationalism. “If a people has no army, they have nothing.” The Indian reaction’s attack on the PLGA, its annihilation operations against it, are meant to leave the people powerless, disorganized and to break the fighting spirit of the anger directed against it.
The victory of the People’s War is the biggest nightmare for them. Let us protest against the massacres of the people by the reactionary Indian state and Operation Kagaar. Let’s put on a stronger spirit of solidarity with the People’s War of India.
We call on all our forces, progressives and revolutionaries, democratic movements, anti-imperialist and anti-fascist forces, all sensitive sections to take the period between July 7 and July 15 as a week of action and struggle against the Kagaar Operation of the massacring Indian reaction, to take action, to solidarize with the Indian People’s War.
